This blog is a place where I share my passion for Jesus, family, relationships, creativity and learning.
A little about me personally...
I graduated from cancer and then from Multnomah Bible College where I met and married a handsome nerd who I still really like. He calls me “Hon,” I call him “Babe”. He serves as a bi-vocational pastor, and together we shepherd our small church here in Oregon. We've been having babies together since 2010. "DeCelie", "Care-Care" and "Zay"; all three of them have his dimples.
I teach at the Hayesmade Home of Learning - (A.K.A. I homeschool, ha!). We spend our days making messes, learning to read, dancing, dressing up, painting, wrestling, and practicing how to love like we’ve been loved. Lots of practice. Lots of forgiveness.
In my spare time, I love to talk with friends, read, bake, dance, journal, pray, peer-counsel/mentor, and work on projects around the house.
If you stick around you’ll notice I talk a lot about Jesus. And how He stepped down from Heaven and picked up our mess, put it on His back, pierced it to a cross, shoved it down into a grave and showed who was Boss that third risen day. My life revolves around this story. Around this person: Jesus. I love Him and it’s all His fault: He loved me first.
